Happy New Year!!!

WOW its 2016! Man alive time flies. I can't even believe that in about 2 and a half months we will have a 3 year old. She already has the sassiness of a three year old but to me she's still my little baby girl!

We had such a nice holiday season and I can't believe its all done with. We packed up our Christmas stuff yesterday and now our house is back to its standard self! Of course there will be Valentines decorating to be done but nothing like Christmas.

We had such a lovely Thanksgiving. We host Thanksgiving at our house and its always so fun to have a bustling house full of kids and chatter from your family and friends!

Then we delved right into our Christmas traditions. I love traditions and doing these things with Emma that she'll carry on with her children some day! We baked so many cookies! Went to the zoo for the Festival of Lights, had our annual SBCC Christmas party, went to Krohn Conservatory and had our own "office party". It was such a fun season!

Emma was spoiled rotten at Christmas time. She got so many cute clothes and toys, man she is one lucky loved little girl!

We've also been blessed with good health for our whole family! On January 14th Emma will have to have detethering surgery. This was the surgery that was originally planned for July. Her neuro thought we could try the "smaller" surgery and was hoping it would relieve some of her symptoms but alas it has not. Her scoliosis has gotten worse and her back spasms have increased drastically. The surgery will be at 730 and is scheduled for 6 hours. Her recovery time should look like that last surgery. Hopefully only 3 days in the PICU and then a day or two in the regular floor and then we should be discharged to finish recovery at home! We ask for your thoughts and prayers as we go into this. It is always so hard to hand your child over to someone else in that capacity. Please pray for a smooth surgery with no complications and an easy recovery. Also please pray for our family and for peace and comfort through these upcoming weeks.

Thank you so much for your continued love and support of our family! Its priceless to know the village we have surrounding us.
